Oakland Rising educates and mobilizes voters in the flatlands to speak up for and take charge of the issues impacting our lives. We are a multilingual, multiracial collaborative with deep roots in East and West Oakland's neighborhoods, proving that everyday residents working together have the power to change the way our city is run. With longtime Oakland families and our newest neighbors working shoulder to shoulder, we are building on Oakland’s incredibly rich history to advance smart, community-first solutions for a thriving Town.

We're looking for people to join our exciting campaign advancing economic, racial and environmental justice in East and West Oakland. We are building a team of social justice advocates to educate and mobilize residents around the 2020 Census and the March Primary Election. An accurate Census count means access to affordable housing, lunches for kids, funding for health centers, and fair political representation.

We are currently seeking to fill positions for Outreach Workers. Outreach Workers will be responsible for contacting thousands of voters by phone and through door-to-door canvassing.

This is a temporary part-time job. Outreach Workers will work 5 days a week (Sunday - Thursday) for 5 hours per day (with an exception to 6 hours on the first day and last day of the campaign), starting on February 5th, 2020, but no later than Monday, February 10th, 2020,  until Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020.

Pay is $18/hr, paid weekly. Lunch or Dinner is provided every shift.
