We're looking for furries to help us make the magic happen! Apply to join our Staff team.

Are you ready to be a part of something amazing and be the reason we can deliver unfurgettable experiences? We're on the lookout for spirited and dedicated individuals who want to help IWAG run, grow, and prosper.

We believe in having people on our team that aspires to deliver their finest to our organization, and be role models to our greater furry community. We also believe every Staff member can be future leaders of our organization. Taking care of, and Nurturing our team, is our priority.

This is why we look for some of the most awesome people to be part of our team to help out with our org, and we also want to focus on helping you be the best version of yourself, with skills and experiences you can take home and apply elsewhere outside of our fandom.

If you've made it to this form, you've likely read through the available positions on offer, and we'd like to hear more on how you can fit that role before we proceed further. But as a general requirement, we'd like to remind you that staffing our con has these minimum acceptance criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age upon application. We value maturity and the ability to engage responsibly with the tasks at hand and we will be engaging in sensitive topics essential to keep ourselves running. Accepted applicant will also be required to sign non disclosure agreement with us.
  • Familiarity with the furry community is a requirement. You should either be a part of it or a part of similar fandoms and have a general understanding of its dynamics. Even if you come from other fandoms, you should have an idea of what furries are and how we work.  
  • We are looking for people with a strong, demonstrated background in their elected positions. We want to help you grow and expand your capabilities with us, but we do need new staff members to come with expertise that can benefit our existing team. If you are not certain about your qualifications, or do not have any, you can consider applying for a Volunteer position once applications open!
  • Staff members do not need to be an Indonesian Citizen, however must ensure you are legally authorized to perform voluntary work duties in Indonesia, and are responsible of your own status.
  • We are an Indonesian-based event with an intent to be as internationally accessible as possible. As a result, our primary language is English, and our internal communication, documents, and meetings will be primarily in English.
  • While we are a community organization and we'd love to be friends even if we're working together as Staff, we seek accountability from every member. Staff members will be accountable for their work, and will work with the objectives of their teams with help from Team Leads and Department Heads. All Staff members should be ready to work towards the objectives of their teams with responsibility and accountability. Staff members are also the key custodians of the IWAG name, to wear with pride, mindfulness, and responsibility.
  • We are looking for trustworthiness and honesty on our team, doing what is ethically correct and what aligns best to the Organization's values - even if it means questioning decisions of your leaders.

Staff members are considered based on any past experience in other conventions, events, voluntary work, professional certification, professional work, or any other proof that you can share with us. Specifics are detailed for every available position.

Note: This application form will have several long-answer questions for candidates to fill in. Please take your time and utilize the save feature of the form. 

Next Steps for Shortlisted Candidates:

Upon selection, our team will reach out for an interview to ensure you're a good fit for our Staff team, and would also assess you with several case study questions that would assess your alignment with our principles, values, and needs on the team. We will also want to align with our expectations on your commitment.

Please note, commitment is key. Failure to fulfill your role may lead to the forfeiture of your Staff role even before the immediate next convention begins.

Volunteers of IWAG 2024/2025 may have faster processing time depending on your performance, and shortlisted candidates fast-tracked to final positioning discussions.

Privacy Notice

We require you to provide your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as part of this form, and will require you to provide more PII as part of the Staff onboarding and lifecycle. As Staff members will be official representations of the organization, information will be required to ensure accountability and transparency within the team.

This information can only be accessed by relevant Staff members who are bound to the IWAG Staff Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement and the general IWAG Privacy Policy.

General PII that we require from all Staff members will be collected through this form are:

  • Your Legal Name
  • Your Email Address
  • Your Age
  • Your Phone Number
  • Your Social Media Identifiers
Specific PII that will be processed through the Staff lifecycle are completely voluntary. Examples of information we may process are, but are not limited to:
  • Dietary Preferences, if necessary
  • Health information, concerns and risks, if necessary
  • Financial transaction receipts and statements, if needed for reimbursements related to con work
  • Residential Address, if required for shipping items or if part of the Logistics network, or for random martabak deliveries.
We will not retain a copy of your identification card (Passport, National ID, Drivers' License), but we will need to see it to provide your badge during the event. And we sure as heck don't need a photocopy of your ID and a letter from your municipality's office.

Upon acceptance as a Staff member, all Staff members are bound to a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement before granted access to information that is deemed required for the incumbent Staff member to perform their duties, and will become governed by the general IWAG Privacy Policy.
