If you would like to try a shift before committing for the semester, you can attend a trial shift the week of February 10-17. You can sign up for a trial shift by going on the Volunteer Emory OrgSync Events page (https://orgsync.com/118175/events?view=upcoming) and choosing the shift you would like to attend (you can search for Emory Food Chain Trial Shift).
DELIVERY shifts drop off prepared meals to our community partners. This year we are working with Atlanta Missions and Emory Bread Coffeehouse.
SERVICE shifts deliver prepared meals to our community partners and serve the food directly to those in need. This year we are working with Atlanta Hospitality House, Grayson United Methodist Church, the Toco Hills Alliance, and Mercy Community Church.
GARDENING shifts tend to the Educational Garden located by Cox Bridge. The produce and herbs from the garden are used in our cooked and sent out to community partners.
If you are selected to join EFC, you will only be added to one of these shifts.
