On the occasion of the Ocean Week, the Blue Tourism Initiative is organizing a Webinar "Policy Pathways towards a More Sustainable Cruise Sector" that will explore the convergence of cruise tourism, and policy, focusing on gaps and opportunities for this sector. Emphasising the on the characteristics of the cruise sector in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Western Indian Ocean marine region, the event aims to inform a more sustainable cruise tourism sector by launching the new report report entitled “Policy Pathways towards a More Sustainable Cruise Sector”. Through panel discussion, it aims to foster an increased regional cooperation, advocating for a coordinated approach in regulating, monitoring, and maximising the benefits of  the cruise sector.
