Strike4Gaza Picket/Action Sign Up - April 15, 2024
Palestinian organizations have called for a strike against genocide on April 15, 2024. Following their lead, the TAHRIR Coalition and the Divest! Don't Arrest! Campaign at the University of Michigan is calling for a strike on campus: No Class, No Work, No Business As Usual. Learn more at www.tahrirumich.org/strike

Strike activities include:

  • Picketing: strikers will be picketing various locations throughout campus from 8am to 6pm to show that there is no business as usual during a genocide. Meet your picket captain at the Diag (Central Campus) or the Art & Architecture Building (North Campus) ten minutes before your shift to grab a sign and join the group!

  • Art-making: Join the Art Build at STAMPS from 9-12 on North Campus, or drop in for screen printing on the Diag from 11-2. Bring your own shirt or tote bag for screen printing!

  • Teach-In: Learn about U-M investment choices and the history of divestment at the Endowment Teach-In from 12-2 on the Diag.

  • Tabling and flyering: join strikers from 8-6 on the Diag as we talk the campus community about U-M’s complicity in genocide and what we can do to build a successful divestment movement.

Sign up for at least one picket shift below. And join events in Flint and Dearborn, too!
