Дивимося кримінально-спортивну драму від студії A24 та режисера Джоша Сефді про пригоди гравця в настільний теніс у післявоєнну епоху.

Під час створення образу Марті за основу було взято біографію легендарного гравця в пінг-понг — «чарівника настільного тенісу» Марті Рейсмана.

Головна дилема фільму — на що людина готова заради мрії? Якщо коротко, Марті готовий майже на все. Для участі у фільмі Тімоті Шаламе із 2018 року активно займався настільним тенісом і тренувався під керівництвом професійних спортсменів.

We’re watching a crime-sports drama by A24 and director Josh Safdie about the adventures of a table tennis player in the postwar era.

The character of Marty the Great was inspired by the biography of legendary ping-pong player — the “wizard of table tennis” Marty Reisman.

The film’s central question is: what is a person willing to do for their dream? In short, Marty is willing to do almost anything. For the role, Timothée Chalamet had been actively training in table tennis since 2018 under the guidance of professional athletes.
