Effective Altruism is a project that aims to find the best ways to help others and put them into practice. It's both a research field, which aims to identify the world's most pressing problems and the best solutions to them, and a practical community that aims to use those findings to do good. Effective Altruism Nigeria is a national, local chapter advancing the movement in Nigeria and helping the community members learn more about the ideas and take action in a way that's most appropriate to them.  

Some of our activities and initiatives include: 

- Education and Skilling -Up: We run an Intro program, workshop, reading, or discussion session on relevant topics, ideas, or initiatives to increase member understanding and facilitate learning and/or skilling-up.

- Guidance and Networking: We guide members to have explicit intent and direction about achieving their charitable impact, appropriately connect them with relevant resources, and facilitate space for connection, networking, and collaboration. We do that through 1-1, newsletter information, social & meetup events, and retreats.

- Outreach: We conduct outreach to reach our target audience in some promising universities and locations to grow our community while also improving the infrastructure of existing members.
