Accelerate Learning Contractor Application
Position Purpose:
The successful candidate will provide production support, specifically in the area of InDesign document creation and editing, to the Manager of Product Development.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
1. Assist in daily operations of the production department
2. Execute InDesign layout corrections based upon instruction from Editorial, Copy Editing and Design departments.
3. Advance print and digital projects through the production workflow
4. Troubleshoot problems with design layouts
5. Create InDesign Templates utilizing correct printer specifications
6. Digital manipulation of high resolution art and photographic file to optimize reproduction, and impart alterations to fit layout design, including image extension, silhouetting, color correction, and file format changes as needed.
7. Quality assess final page files for accuracy in content and execution
8. Create PDF files from InDesign documents
9. Migrate and archive files to various Dropbox folder
10. Dropbox organization.
11. Perform minor design work as needed.

Requirements/ Desired Skills and Experience:

1. Minimum 3 years experience in graphic production for publications
2. 3+ plus years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Acrobat and Illustrator
3. High Proficiency with MAC OS.
4. Understanding of printing processes
5. Comfortable multitasking several projects concurrently
6. Ability to work in a team setting and willingness to share knowledge with others
7. Keen interest in instructional technology and digital media
8. Ability to learn new software quickly
9. Excellent communication skills.

An hourly rate will be determined that is commensurate with skillset and experience.
