Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Needs Assessment for Low-and Middle-Income Countries

Dear Respondent,

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

In 2022, we established the African Community for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (ACSRM), now called the Systematic Reviews Network (SRN).

The SRN was launched with support from seed funding provided by the International Network for Advancing Science and Policy (INASP) to strengthen capacity in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) for evidence production, use, and knowledge translation.

Systematic reviews summarize evidence on a clearly formulated question using clear and transparent methods to identify, select, and critically appraise relevant primary studies, while meta-analyses quantitatively combine data from multiple independent studies to identify overall trends.

To better understand the needs of researchers in LMICs, we are conducting this Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Needs Assessment, with a target of at least 5,000 respondents.

All responses will be analyzed in aggregate and shared through publication in a peer-reviewed journal and on SRN’s social media channels, ensuring that both respondents and stakeholders have open access to the findings. The results will guide us in developing practical ways to better address the needs of these groups.

The survey takes approximately 3 minutes to complete and is for informational purposes only.
