We are enthusiastic about people who are familiar with the culturally diverse Renfrew-Collingwood neighbourhood and Still Creek. We are particularly searching for folks with any of:
- previous Board experience
Still Moon Arts is committed to creating a just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment. We value the leadership of people who have been historically and systemically marginalized and strongly encourage equity-seeking, Indigenous, persons with disabilities and 2SLGBTQIA+ candidates to apply for the role of Board member.
Board members are elected for a 2-year term, or can be appointed year round when a spot is open. As a new Board member you will have the opportunity to:
- See the inside world of a values-based non-profit focused on arts, community, and environment;
- Share your expertise to support Still Moon in fulfilling its long-term vision within the Renfrew Collingwood neighbourhood;
- Participate in one or more of the society workgroup (e.g. Fundraising, Finance, Accessibility) or ;
- Make a positive contribution to your community and neighbourhood!
Expectations: Board members are expected to:
- Share and uphold the society’s vision, mission statement and values;
- Be a member of the Society.
- Attend most monthly Board meetings (10 per year), typically scheduled from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on a weeknight (in-person in Vancouver or virtually).
How to Nominate Yourself
For people wishing to be considered for the 2026-2028 board term can nominate themselves anytime before the AGM via this form, or you can nominate yourself in person at the AGM. All nominees will have the opportunity to speak at the AGM before the vote takes place. If we receive your nomination before April 7, 2026, we will include your candidate information in the package that we send out to members before the AGM.
Our Annual General Meeting, where new board members are elected, will take place on
April 23rd, 2026 in person and remotely.
