SCIENCE – TECHNOLOGY – ENGINEERING – MATH
Problem solving will be the major focus of our STEM Club. During our meetings we will be engaged in activities that will require our members to think through a problem logically, research possible solutions, work collaboratively, and finally create a solution.
STEM Club will be on Fridays in the computer lab/science lab from 3:00 – 4:00. In order to make the experience as meaningful as possible, we will have a limit of 25 students per session.
3 sessions will be scheduled: Session 1 will begin on September 20, Session 2 will begin on December 6, and Session 3 will begin March 16. Each session will meet 7 times with a joint meeting on May 15 for all 3 sessions. Specific dates will be sent home once the groups are formed.
Please complete the following form. I will do my best to accommodate your requests but there are no guarantees. Priority will be given to our 5th graders that were not able to participate last year. Following those students, it will be first come first scheduled.
There is a $25 Activity fee but please do not send in any money until the groups are set.
All forms are due by Friday, September 13.
