Coaching Conversations: Building a Culture of Learning
An experiential mini-series for teacher leaders (French or Anglophone). Maximum of 15 participants.

This professional learning experience is for any teacher leader (French or Anglophone) that would like to understand and practice having coaching conversations. Engaging with others from a coach-like stance can build trust, improve collaboration, change school dynamics and help to move colleagues who are resistant and stuck. 
Cet atelier de développement professionnel s'adresse aux enseignants responsables/ coordinateurs d’une équipe (francophone ou anglophone) qui souhaitent réfléchir et développer leurs aptitudes autour du  coaching. Engager un dialogue avec les autres à partir d'une position de coach peut renforcer la confiance, améliorer la collaboration, changer la dynamique de l'école et aider à travailler avec des collègues parfois réfractaires ou difficiles.

The Commitment:
Three online sessions of an hour and half each. (Dates decided by the group)

Participants will:
- build their understanding of what coaching conversations are and how they are linked to changing the school culture. 
- practice what they are learning in their school environment. 
- read or watch some curated resources between sessions
- dialogue and learn with the others in their cohort. (can happen in French or English depending on the groups)
- receive a certificate of participation upon completion of all sessions.

Topics include but are not limited to:
- Change theory
- How personal beliefs and habits impact our professional conversations
- The difference between coaching, mentoring and supervising
- Committed and empathetic listening 
- Powerful speaking and questioning
- Reflective Feedback
- Having difficult conversations
