AUDITION INFORMATION

PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE COMPLETING THE FORM

Only Calvin Christian students in the 4th-8th grade in the 2019-2020 school year are invited to audition for this production.

Producing musical theater is an incredibly labor-intensive project. Many people will be involved and commit significant amounts of time. Please carefully evaluate the projected rehearsal schedule and consider whether the student’s/family’s schedule will allow them to commit to this show.
We ask that students audition ONLY if they are willing to commit via contract to the rehearsal schedule. This MAY likely mean having to make adjustments in other commitments, especially during the two key production weeks leading up to the show (see below).

NOTE: Students can indeed play sports and be in the play, but some adjustments will likely have to be made in the commitment to both programs.

*NOTE*: Although the artistic team will do their best to cast everyone who auditions for the show, it may not be possible simply due to numbers. Roles will be assigned by the artistic team to the student who is the best fit.

Audition Details: Students MUST attend Auditions held in the Heritage Performing Arts Center in order to be cast in the show.

Audition Workshops: Thursday, October 3rd & Friday, October 4th from 3:15-5:00PM
Auditions: Wednesday, October 9th & Thursday, October 10th from 3:30-6:00

Callbacks: Students MUST be available to attend the "Call-Back" IF they are called back. If they are unable to attend they may forfeit their opportunity to be cast in key roles. Call-backs will be held in the HS Library Friday, October 11th, 3:30- 6:00.

The Cast List will be e-mailed to all who audition by Saturday morning, October 12 and will also be posted on the CCS website.

Projected Rehearsal Schedule & Show Dates:

Mandatory All-Cast Meeting WITH at least one parent -- Monday, October 14th from 5:00-6:00 pm (location TBA)
Mandatory All Cast Read & Sing-Thru of Libretto & Pizza Dinner Kick-off -- Monday, October 14 from 3:15-6:00PM (location TBA)

Rehearsal projections -- The Artistic team will do their very best to build a rehearsal schedule around the conflict calendars each cast member submits, and the sports schedule as much as possible. Please click the link below to view a ROUGH DRAFT of the rehearsal schedule. Again – this schedule will likely change to fit the Cast members conflict calendars, within reason.

Mandatory Production Week Rehearsals -- please see the Draft calendar (including the Super Saturday Rehearsal on Saturday, January 18th (likely from 9:00AM –5:00PM). Also – please note the full day of rehearsal on Thursday, January 23rd (students will be allowed to miss school for their final day of rehearsals IF they are in good standing with all classes -- students are responsible for communicating with their teachers).
