Love Your Heart Champion Award Nominee Criteria❤️

Heart N Hands is delighted to select a group of "Love Your Heart" Champions who live or work in the Greater New Orleans area and have distinguished themselves by actively contributing to improving heart health, wellness and wellbeing in the New Orleans community. These nominees are recognized in four distinct areas: health & fitness, nutrition, heart healthy lifestyle and heart disease survivor/advocate.

Together, these Champions transform our community and save lives, one heart at a time and will be recognized at our 10th Anniversary "Love Your Gala", Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Royal Sonesta New Orleans Hotel and invited to events throughout the year in which they can share their skills and passions.

Heart N Hands Love Your Heart Nominees should:

Promote awareness of overall wellbeing and heart health to build strong communities.
Strive to unite our community in collaborative efforts for its further prosperity.
Take an effective leadership role in our community focused on heart health and disease prevention.

"Love Your Heart" Award Categories

Excellence in Exercise: Recognizes an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to promoting physical fitness and exercise within their community. This could include organizing fitness programs, funding exercise facilities, or advocating for policies that encourage physical activity.

Outstanding Contribution to Nutrition & Healthy Eating: Honors an individual or organization that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving nutrition and healthy eating habits. Efforts might include educational campaigns, creating access to healthy foods, or supporting research and initiatives aimed at better nutritional standards.

Leadership in Promoting Healthy Lifestyle: Celebrates an individual or organization that has shown outstanding leadership in encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and habits. This may involve holistic health programs, wellness education, mental health advocacy, or initiatives that promote a balanced, heart healthy way of living.

Heart Disease Survivor : Honors an individual who has a compelling personal story related to heart health that has inspired others and demonstrates resilience and strength in overcoming heart disease, serving as a role model for others. Personal journey overcoming heart health challenges, sharing the story to raise awareness, and motivating others to prioritize heart health.
