2019 Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award Nomination Form

The Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award celebrates the accomplishments of faculty members whose work transforms education through the use of technology. This award is given in recognition of excellence represented by a single contribution or a series of contributions over time. Examples of enhancement include the development of projects, courses, collaborations, or scholarship that explores innovative uses of technology that have the potential to significantly improve teaching, learning, and scholarship at Penn State and beyond. Of particular interest are the creation of original approaches or outcomes that have implications beyond one specific academic area.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

All Pennsylvania State University Faculty (tenure or fixed-term, regardless of rank) are eligible for nomination. Finalists and the winner will be selected by the Impact Award committee which shall consist of four faculty members, one member of Teaching and Learning with Technology, and the Senior Director of Teaching and Learning with Technology.

Evaluation Criteria

Degree to which the work:
- meets the defined criteria required for inclusion in consideration for this award;
- results in significant enhancement of higher education through the use of technology;
- incorporates technological richness;
- provides greater insight into the effectiveness of teaching, learning, and scholarship;
- is innovative and original; and
- contains implications beyond one specific academic area.
