Dance Marathon's Executive Board is composed of student leaders that coordinate and oversee major initiatives of the program including recruitment, fundraising, morale, marketing, event planning, and much more. DM at BU is currently seeking a team of passionate, responsible, and servant- minded individuals to engage in year long fundraising efforts and host the first successful Dance Marathon. Dance Marathon is a philanthropic student organization at Boston University fighting for the next generation by raising funds and awareness for Boston Children's Hospital.

Applications for the Management Team - Executive, Internal, External and Finance Director - are open and will close on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13th at 11:59pm.

Executive Board Applicant Requirements:
- Candidates should be organized, possess strong facilitation abilities, and be skillful at communication
- Candidates should have previous experience planning programs and facilitating events
- Candidates should have a passion for leadership and be excited to make a lasting impact on the Boston community
- Candidates must be in good academic and conduct standing with Boston
- Candidates must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Candidates must be full-time students at Boston throughout Spring 2020..

Position Descriptions:

Executive Director
-Leads overall goal setting and execution of the Dance Marathon Program
-Manage External, Finance and Internal Directors, receiving updates and progress benchmarks based on goals set.
-Oversee all campus-wide partnerships, including Athletics, Facility Operations, Dining Services, Student Government Association, Activities Board, SpiritWeek/Homecoming Partners, Office of Student Involvement and Residence Life.
-Assist as necessary with major off-campus partnerships
-Work closely with the Hospital Advisor, Dance Marathon Manager and college/university Advisors
-Create opportunities for leadership development, through implementation of Strengths Quest, team-building and
-Evaluate progress, with Management, through Director check-ins and feedback
-Serve as the main point of contact and face of the organization
-Hold weekly meetings with the Management Team, and Executive Board meetings
-Bring proposals of new ideas to Management for feedback
- Oversees all operations of the program

Finance Director

-Responsible for all accounting procedures
-Responsible for approval of expenditures
-Detailed record keeping of all monies coming into and going out of Dance Marathon program
-Detailed record keeping of all expenditures
-Work with Catering, Partnership, Event Management, etc. to maintain a list of vendor names, numbers and addresses
-Work closely with fundraising to establish collection points at all fundraising efforts
-Maintain constant communication between Student Affairs, who manages our account and Dance Marathon, as well as the hospital advisor, to ensure that funds received directly to the hospital are accounted for
-Make all deposits in respective Dance Marathon’s name
-Create and maintain a spreadsheet with individual organization fundraising, and overall total
-Assist with all external fundraising efforts, including “roundtables” or fundraising workshops if deemed necessary

Finance Director
Directly oversees:

Internal Director
Directly oversees:
- Hospital Relations Chair
- Morale Chair
- Catering Chair
- Event Operations Chair

External Director
Directly oversees:
- Recruitment & Dancer Relations Ambassador Chair(s) (3 per campus)
- Public Relations/Technology Chair
- Special Events Chair
