Volunteer as a GEAR UP Coach
Are you a Philadelphia area college student interested in supporting high school students for college-readiness and success in a global society? Then volunteer as a GEAR UP coach!
The GEAR UP Project currently serves 12 high schools in the School District of Philadelphia and works to build the capacity of schools to address the needs of students for college and career readiness preparation. GEAR UP Coaches are undergraduate and graduate students from local Philadelphia universities who provide vital academic assistance and motivation to support the post-secondary success of GEAR UP students.
Tutoring and mentoring opportunities will take place at GEAR UP schools located throughout Philadelphia. Please fill out this brief survey to help us understand the best tutoring or mentoring opportunity for you.
