Thank you for your interest in presenting a program at the Newton Free Library. We welcome proposals from qualified authors, speakers, performers, and presenters.
This form is for
adult and all-ages programs only. To propose a program for kids, tweens, or teens, please fill out our
Youth Program Proposal Form.
The Library considers many factors when selecting programs, including subject matter, cost, space and logistical needs, timing, staffing, and more. Programs are typically planned months in advance. All public library programs must be free for attendees and open to the public. Programs may not be used for the purpose of fundraising, soliciting, or advertising. However, authors may sell copies of their books, and musicians may sell copies of their music.
We receive many suggestions for programs, and are not able to offer
every program that is proposed. However, we retain suggested programs
and contact information for possible future collaborations. We receive a large number of program proposals, and we regret that we cannot respond to every application. If we are interested in holding your program, we will get in touch with you. Program proposals are not accepted by phone.
