Winter Camp 2021 Volunteer Application
This winter marks Special Days Camps 43rd year camping FUN and while the program will look different as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic we are committed to providing a camp experience for families. We’ll continue our tradition of singing songs, play games and arts and crafts just to name a few. But the best part of camp is having the chance to renew old friendships and create new ones.

Remote Winter Camp Saturday, February 20th: The day will be filled with activities including crafting, a scavenger hunt and bingo along with dinner a dance party and movie. A box of supplies will arrive at campers doors with everything they will need to bring camp home.

COVID-19: Considering the concerns and measures taken across the United States to combat COVID-19, we closely monitored the recommendations from local, state and federal authorities so that we could make informed decisions related to our 2020 winter camp program. We have received advice and direction from our trusted medical team and partners and have been actively involved in discussions with the Children’s Oncology Camping Association-International (COCA-I). Additionally, we are monitoring the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). It is, and will remain, our goal to ensure the safest environment possible for our campers, families and volunteers. We are committed to maintaining best practices to reduce risk of all communicable illness, included COVID-19. As always, the health, safety and well-being of all of our Special Days Camps Family is our paramount concern.
