An effective slideshow presentation is a key aspect of every memorable talk. Still, it can be difficult to identify which features make a great presentation slide. In this hands-on workshop, we will discuss common pitfalls to be avoided and provide participants with skills, tips and tricks for making a truly polished and professional slideshow. Participants will engage in activities that will apply these skills to craft effective slideshow presentations. This workshop is ideal for graduate and professional students who are looking to make better slideshows to accompany their presentations. The skills being taught will be applicable to any slideshow program of choice (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, etc.).
