Hello!

Thank you for offering your time to volunteer at the 2023 Gallatin Refugee Connections Kit Packing Day coming up Saturday, April 1st, 9:00am - 5:00pm at Pilgrim Congregational Church. We really appreciate it, and wouldn't be able to do this without your help!

This is a quick form just to grab some details from you, particularly your contact details, times available, work preferences and food allergies (because we want to be able to feed you that day!).

We don't expect everyone to be available for the entire day, so the day is split up into four shifts of set up, morning, afternoon, and closing and there will be a range of jobs to do throughout the day.

Task Preferences

Below is a list of potential jobs. Let us know what tasks you would prefer, and we'll try our best to make sure you're doing something you will have fun doing! Note the physical requirements for each task.

Front desk/Greeters - Sitting, standing, directing volunteers and donations to the right place and answering questions.

Kit Packers - Light work moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Runners - Lifting objects up to 20 pounds, and making store runs to fetch items required to complete kits.

Wrappers - Lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and completing kit packing process.

Truck Loaders - Moving objects up to 50 pounds, throughout the shift. Requires stamina and a strong back. Maybe even some good tetris skills to pack the truck.

Volunteer Care - Handling and service of refreshments.

As a volunteer, we'd like to feed you! Please tell us if you have any allergies or preferences (gluten, vegan, etc.). Lunch will consist of a sandwich, fruit, snack and drink.
