826 Boston Youth Literary Advisory Board: Open Call for Submissions!
Dear Boston students and residents,
Coronavirus has completely turned our lives upside down. We think we can all agree on that. You’re probably bored, maybe going through an existential crisis. It's fine. We all are. Some of the events and special moments that students around the world were looking forward to have been canceled. No cap and gown either. One thing that we can control is how we use our voices to make change. We must have hope and stick together. That is why we are publishing a book dedicated to self-identity.
The Youth Literary Advisory Board (YLAB) is accepting poems, narratives, essays, and original artwork about self- identity to be featured in an 826 Boston publication. We are also interested in reading pieces about how students who are residents of Boston are staying empowered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students who are residents of Boston in grades 7th-12th are welcome to submit. The deadline to submit your work is on Sunday, June 7 by midnight.
Let's show coronavirus what Boston youth are made of one submission at time!
Sincerely,
YLAB
