STANDARD PRICING: The standard parking permit price for the entire 2022-2023 school year is $200. At the start of each quarter, the cost reduces by $50. The School Board sets this price; Woodson High School does not control the cost. The accepted forms of payment are cash, check, or My School Bucks. If paying by My School Bucks, navigate to the School Store, select the option for a parking permit, and check out.

An email address belonging to a parent or guardian is REQUIRED when completing the application. Applying for your permit DOES NOT grant you the privilege to park on campus. You will not receive your permit until Woodson High School can validate that ALL required information is submitted and any outstanding fines and fees are paid.

Once submitted, please allow two school days for the application to be processed. Students may pick up their parking permits in E116 during their LUNCH PERIOD ONLY. Students who try to pick up permits any other time will be asked to return during their lunch period.

Once issued, parking permits must be properly displayed in students' vehicles before parking on campus. Students will be required to park in designated sections based on their grade level. We DO NOT have assigned spaces. See the map below for the designated parking areas. Students will be subject to a parking fine should they park on campus without a permit properly displayed or in the wrong location. STUDENTS ARE NOT TO PARK IN ANY AREA DESIGNATED AS STAFF OR VISITOR PARKING. The stadium lot will be used for overflow parking.

Woodson High School accepts Cash, Check, and My School Bucks as payment for parking permits. Make checks payable to WOODSON HIGH SCHOOL. If paying by My School Bucks, navigate to the School Store, select the option for a parking permit, and check out. Please print your receipt and bring with you when picking up your permit.

PARKING REGULATIONS

Below are the parking regulations for Woodson High School. All vehicles parking on campus must abide by these regulations. Placing a check next to each regulation indicates you have read and understand each one. Violation(s) of any parking regulation may result in a fine(s). Habitual violation of any parking regulation could lead to your privilege to park on campus being revoked.

PARKING REGULATIONS *

The first 3 rows of parking spaces in the upper lot and the row adjacent to the band room (see map below) are reserved for teachers and staff. These spaces are marked in yellow, with staff only parking signs and are not for students. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Students may park in the upper lot between doors 14 & 16 and the lower stadium lot ONLY! There is no parking behind the cafeteria/loading dock (door 15), in front of the school or by the gym/science wing.

The senior parking lot is first come first serve for seniors. Once this lot is full seniors will move to the lower lot for parking. Staff parking is off limits to students all day, every day.

Parking permits are not transferable for any reason.

Student vehicles must display the parking permit hung on the rear view mirror or taped to the lower left side of the windshield, visible from in front of the vehicle, anytime the vehicle is parked on campus. The pass number must be visible. NO EXCEPTIONS!

All vehicles on school grounds must be locked.

All vehicles must be operated in a safe manner. The speed limit on school grounds is 15 MPH.

Students are not allowed to go to his/her vehicle for any reason during the school day without the permission of the security office or an assistant principal.

Students may not leave school grounds or transport other students off school grounds in their vehicles without authorization. NO WARNINGS, NO EXCEPTIONS!

A lost or stolen parking permit must be reported to the security office immediately. There will be a $10.00 replacement fee for lost or stolen permits.

Parking on campus is a privilege which can be revoked or suspended. Be respectful at all times and drive using courtesy and common sense.

Parking will be strictly enforced. Any vehicle in violation of the parking policy will receive a ticket issued by W. T. Woodson High School. The fine is $25.00 and must be paid within 15 school days. After that your pass may be revoked and your vehicle subject to towing at the owners risk and expense. Any fines also become a financial obligation to the school and could affect prom, graduation or other school events.

Vehicles parked on school property may be searched at any time.

Texting and use of cell phones while driving on school property is strictly prohibited.

Overnight parking of any student vehicle is not allowed. Vehicles having mechanical or other issues prohibiting the movement of the vehicle shall be brought to the attention of the Safety & Security Office.

Violation of these regulations or of safe driving practices at any time will result in the revocation of the school parking permit and/or further disciplinary action.

DESIGNATED PARKING LOCATIONS: Students are required to park in their designated parking location only. Students who park in ANY area other than their designated location will be subject to a parking fine.
