Thank you for signing up to participate in our 2027 program. Please complete this form in full. We will follow up with you in the Fall of 2026 regarding an interview and next steps. Our next session starts in January 2027. In the meantime, here is some information about the program.
Launched in 2022,
Future Leadership Solano is an initiative developed by
Leadership Vallejo adult program participants, to engage students at Solano County high schools in developing critical leadership skills and gaining a deeper understanding of our community. High School sophomores and juniors participate in a 6 month interactive program covering six areas: Communications and leadership skills; Solano's Past, Present, and Future; local government involvement; public safety; education and career pathways; and human services. Activities include hands-on leadership training, field trips, and active conversations with local Vallejo officials and community leaders. The six program meetings will be held once per month on Saturdays (and one Sunday) from 8:30 am to 3 pm, at different locations in Solano County. Students can potentially gain school required community service hours through participation in the program.
Youth participants in the Program commit to the following:
1. Providing one’s own transportation to and from meetings
2. Regularly attending Future Leadership Solano Youth Program Meetings
3. Arriving to meetings on time
4. Actively engaging in conversations with meeting participants and guests
5. Participating in a group community service project, by the end of the program
6. Volunteering to support FLS and partner community events and activities
Students will need to attend at least five meetings to be eligible to graduate from the program and to receive a certificate of completion. If you have any questions, email info@futureleadershipsolano.org or text 510-815-6091
Come join us and be a leader in your community!
