2024 USAWE Train to Win Clinic #2 (CA) Registration Form
Participation requires current USAWE membership. Once your registration is submitted and confirmed, you should receive an invoice within five (5) days (not including weekends).  You will be invoiced by USAWE and must pay within 48 hours to reserve your spot. Your 'Train to Win' clinic registration is not complete until you have paid 100% of your registration fees, completed an International Team Rider Code of Conduct form and completed the Expression of Interest form.  A Rider Competition Plan is also required. All forms are available on the usawe.org website > International Program.

separate registration form must be submitted for each rider-horse pair ~OR~ auditor.  Limited riding spots. A daily Box Lunch is required.  There will be eight (8) 50-minute lessons per day and two (2) discussion sessions per day with WAWE Judge Dr. Jose Benito (Spain).

The 'Train to Win' Clinic #2 will be conducted from 8am-5pm on July 8-10, 2024, at El Campeon Farms, Thousand Oaks, CA. 

Priority will be given to Western Zone riders through June 5th; however, riders from outside Western Zone will be accepted as space allows after this date.  Riding spots are for USAWE riders currently competing at L5-L7 performance level.  Auditing is open to any level of rider or student of Working Equitation.  Interactive Auditors will be able to ask questions and participate in discussions with Dr. Benito.  Silent Auditors are observers only.  To participate, please complete the registration form below.

Note: The International Committee has partnered with the Professional Development Committee and is offering four (4) USAWE Professional Instructors (PI) 50% off 'Ground Crew' auditing fees at the 'Train to Win' Clinic #2.  PIs who wish to take advantage of this discount will be required to volunteer as support staff for a portion of the event.  PIs interested in the support 'Ground Crew' auditing are asked to complete the registration form below.

The International Committee has also partnered with the Youth Development Committee and is offering USAWE Youth members (age 7-17 yrs.) FREE silent auditing (one - two- or all three days)!  Youth interested in attending are asked to complete the registration form below.

This clinic is the second of three 'Train To Win' clinics to be held in 2024.  The International Committee scheduled one each within the Central, Western and Eastern Zones of USA Working Equitation. The Central Zone's training session was held January 23-25 in Weatherford TX. The third Train to Win’ event will be held in the Eastern Zone September 6-8, 2024, at the Three Bulls facility in Bulls Gap, TN. That clinic will be taught by Sr. Gilberto Filipe (Portugal).  Registration for the Eastern Zone event will open May 27th.

For 'Train To Win' Clinic #2, a current Coggins is required for all equines on arrival at El Campeon Farms. A Health Certificate is required for all out-of-state equines.  A two-week Temperature Chart, listing the daily temperature for each equine attending this event, is also required.  Please track daily temperatures STARTING ONE WEEK BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE.  Bring a completed chart for each equine you plan on bringing and turn into the office upon arrival.  Thank you for helping keep all our equines safe!

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation: If the entire event is canceled, a full refund minus the office fee of $50 will be issued within fourteen (14) days of cancellation.
Refund: If a registered participant withdraws from a USAWE-sponsored event, they must notify the event sponsor in writing prior to the start of the event. If the withdrawal is prior to June 5, 2024, a full refund minus the office fee will be sent within fourteen (14) days. Entries are non-refundable after June 5, 2024. Event management may be able to provide a refund minus the office fee on a case-by-case basis under one (1) of the following conditions:
  • Withdrawal of a rider or horse is due to an injury, illness, or death. The withdrawal is accompanied by a veterinarian’s or doctor’s certificate.
  • If there is a wait list and the event manager is able to replace your entry.

$200 per ride - limit two (2) rides. A separate registration is required per horse for riders with multiple horses.

Rider registration also includes rider auditing.

YSA - Youth Silent Auditor (non-rider 7-17 yrs. as of Jan 1, 2024) - includes use of headset plus a 'Train To Win' Manual and commemorative T-Shirt.  Can listen to discussions but may not ask questions.
GC - Ground Crew - four (4) non-rider ground crew volunteer positions available (first come, first serve, first paid) to members of the Professional Instructors program. The 'Ground Crew' will receive 50% off auditing fees - includes use of headset plus a 'Train To Win' Manual, commemorative T-Shirt and interactive discussion.
