Coastal Cleanup, organized by the Ocean Conservancy, is the single largest volunteer event on the planet, involving more than half a million volunteers in over 97 countries around the world. Hundreds of people take to their beaches, rivers and creeks to clean up the refuse that would otherwise end up in our lakes and oceans, polluting the water and endangering wildlife. Here in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, we call it the Delta Waterway Cleanup, and we've got spots that need love in all five Delta Counties. Join us today for the 2016 Delta Waterway Cleanup!
