Terms and Conditions for Research Request Applications  

(Beginning 1 August 2025)   
  • A non-refundable application fee of $100.00 USD is required if you are not a current Species360 member or subscriber.
  • A 3.5% fee for credit card processing will be applied upon submission.
  • We reserve the right to charge a $100.00 USD application fee, regardless of whether the Species360 Research Committee or Board of Trustees rejects the application. This fee will be charged even if the research request is considered technically infeasible or is ultimately denied.
  • We reserve the right to apply additional charges, with consent, if fulfilling the request requires more resources than those currently allocated for processing research requests.
  • We aim to ensure that finances do not hinder research. If you seek financial assistance, please get in touch with the Member Support and Training team at (support@species360.org) for further assistance.

The nature of the data is highly complex; therefore, depending on the nature of the data requested, if your request is approved, we might ask to have one of our data experts involved to avoid misinterpretation of the data and to avoid wrong assumptions.

The financial contribution requested may increase depending on the number and complexity of records required so we can extract the data in the right format.

If access to the data is provided,
- Species360 must be cited as the data source and Species360 registrars will be mentioned in the acknowledgments.
- The manuscript should be shared when published so we can feature it on Species360's website.

All collaborators with access to the data need to be listed and must sign the data request template and can use the data only in association with the project that the data have been requested for. If additional people join the project and want to use the data, please update the form with their signatures.

The authors whose names are listed immediately below certify that they have NO affiliations with or involvement in any organization or entity with any financial interest (such as consultancies, grants, patents, stock or share ownership, advocacy groups, employment, fees or honoraria, royalties), or non‐financial interest (such as personal or professional relationships, affiliations, knowledge or beliefs) in the subject matter or materials discussed in this manuscript.

If necessary, please describe any potential conflicts of interest in a cover letter (may be sent to support@species360.org). All funding sources supporting the work should also be fully acknowledged.
