Planet, Brown Dwarf, Other? A Survey on Exoplanet Classification
Welcome to this survey on Exoplanet Classification, organized as part of the *Exoplanets and Brown Dwarfs: Mind the Gap Conference* at U. Hertfordshire, 2013 September 2-5.  Thank you taking the time to provide your input as we examine how the astronomical community and public defines a planet today.

You will be presented with 10 objects selected from a poll of the Low Mass Stars and Brown Dwarfs and Exoplanet Imaging Facebook groups.  Your task is to consider the properties of each of these objects, and then decide which category best describes it: Planet, Brown Dwarf, or Something Else.

At the end of the survey, you will be asked to rank various factors you may have considered in your choices, and provide some basic demographic (but no identifying) information.  These data will be used to examine how we choose to categorize gas giants across the planet/brown dwarf spectrum.

The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete.  Please take it only once.  Thank you for your participation!
