Through the Lens: Our Community, Our Stories is a FREE registration-based, 9-week afterschool program that provides South-Central LA’s youth with leadership development training, and an opportunity to work as a team to develop compelling short documentary films that showcase the stories that are most important to them. Participants will have the opportunity to learn foundational documentary film skills, develop their experience in visual storytelling, and participate in professional development opportunities with industry professionals.
Program Requirements & Eligibility(PLEASE READ):The program capacity is 50 students. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis if they meet the below criteria. Applicants must live within a 5 mile radius of 90037Applicants must be 14-17 years old(As of January 1, 2019)Program Times & Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30pm from January 7, 2019 - March 6, 2019STRICT ATTENDANCE POLICY(ONLY 2 Excused Absences Allowed)Some weekend production times(Students will work around their schedules)
