    Sixty History Day teachers across the state will have the opportunity to learn how to improve their teaching of History Day and how to make it a centerpiece of their social studies curricula. During the two day workshop, you will learn: • The benefits of—and how to--incorporate History Day in your classroom. • How to navigate & use the Library of Congress digital primary sources collection in instruction. • How to create basic inquiry-based learning experiences. • How to include Colorado history topics in your History Day instruction and in your classroom. Workshop benefits include: • Travel stipend for those teachers traveling more than 60 miles • Substitute teacher reimbursement for 9/26 & 9/27 (unless provided by district) • Coffee, lunch and an evening reception • History Teacher Playbook & flash drive with TPS & History Day classroom materials Recertification Credit The training will include breakout sessions to accommodate various levels of experience and interests.
