Join us for Rockaway's First Black Birders Week Celebration hosted by The Garden By The Bay and the NYC Plover Project. A day of free, nature oriented activities, celebrating the Black Birder experience in nature. All are welcome to participate in the day's events.
10AM: Meet us at Beach 56th Street and Edgemere Avenue (11692) for a bird walk through the Arverne East Nature Preserve for a chance to observe migratory birds and natural sights. Limited binoculars available for borrow.
12PM: As a group, we'll then walk over to The Garden by The Bay (4-80 Beach 43rd St, Edgemere, NY 11691) for community discussions, nature activities, musical performances, giveaways, lunch and refreshments.
We encourage all guests to join both the bird walk and afternoon activities!
