CWP-Fairfield's 2018 Invitational Summer Institute For Teacher Leaders
For the past 32 years, the Connecticut Writing Project at Fairfield University has proudly hosted summer writing institutes for educators. The National Writing Project model, one that is celebrated as one of the best and most effective professional development models in the nation, is at the heart of the work. We believe in teachers teaching teachers, and trust the expertise of our colleagues. Individuals selected for the summer institute will learn with colleagues as they build their writing and teaching portfolios and participate in numerous writing workshops designed to improve the teaching of writing. Teachers from kindergarten to graduate school are welcome to apply. Applicants can opt for graduate school credit (scholarships are available). Applications are due by March 15th. Interviews will be scheduled in April. Decisions will be made in May. We anticipate selecting 12 teachers during this summer's institute and look forward to reading your application.
