2025 Outstanding Science Teacher Nomination
The South Dakota Science Teaching Association (SDSTA) invites you to nominate an outstanding Biology, Earth & Space Science, Physical Science, or Elementary Science Teacher! This award recognizes teachers who are outstanding in their field and provide phenomenal science experiences to their students. 
The deadline for nominations is June 30th, 2024. The Outstanding Science Teacher Selection Committee will review nominations and announce nominees on or around July 1, 2024. Nominees will be invited to submit their application. Winners will be announced and recognized at the annual SD STEM Ed Conference in Huron in February of the award year. Thank you for taking the time to recognize an outstanding science teacher!

Biology can include any middle or high school life science courses, including electives such as Anatomy & Physiology. Physical Science includes middle or high school physical science courses, including Chemistry and Physics. Earth & Space Science can include any middle or high school earth and space sciences, including electives such as astronomy or geology. Elementary teachers are teachers of grades K-5.
