Information about the trip

On Friday, March, 13th, 2015 our AMS chapter will have the privilege of taking an out of state trip to The Weather Channel headquarters in Atlanta, GA. We will plan to leave Buckhorn at about 8AM so we will arrive at TWC around 1PM for our tour. We plan to get lunch in Atlanta (bring extra money ($$) on the day of the trip to cover this cost.) the details regarding lunch are still being worked out. We should return to BHS at around 4 or 4:30PM.

This is a great experience to not only see one of the largest weather cable television networks, but it is also one that will bring national attention to our chapter and our school. This is the trip for you if you are a weather geek, or if you are into news broadcast or television. Students will be able to explore and learn about Meteorology in television, and see how a professional 24/7 news network operates. Did we mention that it is really hard to get a group tour of TWC? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and tours are given only on a personal connection basis. So this is a very unique opportunity that you will not want to miss out on.

Our members will cover a good portion of the people going, but we will need a few others that are interested in going to fill all the seats. Once all of the seats for the trip are filled, this form will be closed. If you know a friend that might be interested, please send this form to them so they may check out this great opportunity.

Last bit of details. The trip will not be free of charge to the chapter, so we are charging a $40 fee from everyone that is going to help cover the cost of the buss rental. The information you submit through this form will be kept confidential and will only be used to contact you for additional details about the trip and when the money will be due. Also, your name will also be used by school officials for official records relating specifically to this trip.
