This month's Natural Mystery comes from Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve, where will will be running our Spring Survey on April 28. The photograph was taken in the summer, about 100 yards from Lindeman Lab. The question is "Who?" Identification to family is enough.

An ideal answer will identify the animal to family; explain how you arrived at your answer and explain how you eliminated other candidates and possibilities (it is, after all, a raccoon until proven otherwise). Please do include an explanation together with your answer so we can all benefit from your process as you puzzle through this.
