Application for CCF Fellows Program
CCF invites high school and college students to join our Fellows Program and help build and strengthen chess programs in Chicago’s schools, libraries and community centers. Fellows are assigned to a specific program close to their home or school, and will serve as coaches, mentors, and club assistants. The goals of the program are to boost students’ skills in chess and critical thinking, and to impart a love of the game.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a commitment to public service and who enjoy working with children. Strong chess-playing skills are preferred but not required. These are unpaid positions requiring approximately two hours per week. Fellows can use their participation to fulfill service learning or community service requirements.

Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Applicants will be interviewed by telephone. Those accepted may be asked to attend an orientation session before they begin.
