Managing your Digital Information

The Spring 2014 Technology Trainings are sponsored by the Provost’s Advisory Committee on Women’s Issues (PACWI), the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) and the Division of Information Technology (DoIT). Each session is open to all USC faculty, staff and students. Training sessions are limited to 25 participants and registration is free. Managing your Digital Information

Properly managing your digital information is essential to being able to work effectively. This beginner training session will introduce ‘best practice’ concepts for storing and organizing your digital information so that you will be able to maintain and retrieve it efficiently. Participants will learn specifically about using Windows Explorer and Apple Finder to manage files and folders. Additional concepts such as information security and search strategies will be addressed if time permits.
