VISA Tết Festival 2026 - "Xuân Xập Xình" Committee Application

Vietnamese International Student Association (VISA) invites you to join our committees for the upcoming Tết Celebration "Xuân Xập Xình", taking place on Sunday, February 8th, 2026. This is your opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cultural event, gain leadership experience, and connect with a supportive community.

Tết, short for Tết Nguyên Đán (Vietnamese Lunar New Year), is the most significant holiday in Vietnamese culture. It’s a time for gathering with loved ones, honoring ancestors, and embracing traditions like sharing festive foods, decorating homes, and wishing for luck and prosperity in the year ahead. For students being away from home during Tết this year, it can feel like a bittersweet experience. By joining the committees, you can help bring this meaningful experience to life for UF’s student body and make Tết unforgettable for everyone!

Event Details:

The celebration will feature performances, cultural activities, and Vietnamese cuisine. Together, we’ll create a vibrant event to highlight the traditions of “Tết” (Vietnamese Lunar New Year). Committees include Logistics, Decor, Multimedia, and Programming. Please review the committee descriptions below before applying.

  • Logistics Committee: Assist with logistics, tech cues, timeline, and slideshow preparation
  • Decor Committee: Create and set up event decorations for photo booth, stage, tables, etc.
  • Multimedia Committee (FULL): Assist with graphics, promotional materials, and event photography 
  • Programming Committee: Help create scripts, games, and activities for attendees

    • All committee members are expected to help set up before and clean up after the event.
