Paragraph 5
(1) When people think of "Frankenstein," they usually think of a dangerous monster with a stitched-on head. (2) However, the original creature, presented in the 1818 novel by Mary Shelley, was nothing like the modern Hollywood version. (3) First of all, his appearance is described as "hideous" in the novel, but he doesn't have a flat head or bolts sticking out of his neck. (4) In addition, the creature in the book is to be pitied, not feared. (5) He sits and cries over the fact that people reject him. (6) He is ultimately driven to violence because he wants to be loved, and no one will love him. (7) He has human emotions even though he is not a human. (8) Dr. Frankenstein is the scientists who created the monster. (10) The novel is named after him, not his creation.
