Data Protection

Personal data will be held and processed by CILPK in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.  We will use the information we hold for the following purposes:
  • To maintain our membership records

  • To provide statistics on membership to statutory bodies

  • To keep members informed about our activities and events and other external events

  • To provide media reports and update our website

  • To provide information about the organisation such as newsletters and minutes of meetings

  • To share with other appropriate organisations regarding reported equality issues

What does CILPK do:

Objectives:

  • The promotion of equality and diversity by promoting Independent living and inclusion for all disabled people
  • The promotion of equality and diversity by raising awareness and providing advice to relevant parties on alterations that should be made for disabled people
  • The promotion of equality and diversity through the delivery of projects decided by the members that will help support independent living and inclusion for disabled people.
  • The promotion of equality and diversity through campaigning for change in the wider society in line with the human rights of disabled people.
  • The promotion of equality and diversity by providing disabled people with the tools to help effect change themselves

CILPK is a Scottish Charity (number SCO16452) and a Company Limited by Guarantee. (number, SC339913)

Activities:

Some of the projects that we run to pursue our objectives include:

  • Responding to individual and group equality issues
  • Carry out campaigns
  • 3rd Party Reporting Centre
  • Work with local businesses and Local Authorities
  • Disability Awareness training

Our members  are integral to the running of  the organisation and influence the topics that are discussed and campaigned.
