Entrepreneurs Club Fall 2018 Board Application
The Entrepreneurs Club is the biggest club on campus. We run 6 programs over the course of the semester, and serve as a way to connect the entrepreneurial community at Northeastern. We are looking for dedicated, hardworking, and innovative individuals to join the executive board to keep the magic going.

Job/Program Descriptions:

Marketing Team
The marketing team is collectively responsible for event and program promotions, both pre and post event. Team members will be expected to attend Entrepreneurs Club workshops and events, and collaborate with programs to provide marketing material and summaries for social media and our website.

We are looking to hire:
- Brand Director: assist with content creation, management of weekly newsletter on Mailchimp, management of on-campus presence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Design Director: produce print and digital marketing material across programs and ensure our content fits within the Entrepreneurs Club brand. Proficiency with Adobe suite (including libraries) and branding standards required.
- Social Media Manager: produce and execute social media marketing on multiple platforms in a timely manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Website Manager: maintain website and ensure it is up to date. No coding or programming knowledge required. Experience with Wordpress and general web standards preferred. Understanding of web servers and production a plus.
- Photographer: attend events and photograph for marketing material
- Videographer: attend events and document for marketing material

Husky Startup Challenge
The Husky Startup Challenge is the flagship program of the Entrepreneurs Club at Northeastern University. Over the course of 8 weeks and 5 workshops, over 20 ventures turn rough ideas into viable business plans. Ventures will have the opportunity to pitch to an audience and panel of judges at our end of semester event – Demo Day.

Directors are responsible for:
- Recruiting entrepreneurs for workshops
- Planning and logistics of Saturday workshops
- Providing ventures with guidance and in-kind resources over the course of the semester
- Planning and operations for Demo Day
- Collaborating with the marketing team regarding marketing collateral needs


TechTreks/Connect
Connect is a one-time event at the beginning of each semester for students to get hands-on experience with student-run ventures from IDEA - Northeastern University’s Venture Accelerator.
TechTreks gives students a peek into companies in the local entrepreneurial community. These events allow students to meet business founders, employees and get a taste of the different workspaces and company cultures across various industries. Directors are given the unique opportunity to network across student and established companies, applicants must be outgoing, and have excellent communication, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with IDEA ventures to co-ordinate the Connect event, and collating information to be used in event brochure
- Reaching out to companies to schedule TechTreks
- Managing timeline of sign-ups and day-of logistics
- Collaborating with the marketing team regarding marketing collateral needs

InnovateEDU
Innovate is a semester-long startup program which fosters entrepreneurship through collaboration with several schools in Boston. The program includes workshops, speakers, and a final pitch competition called Ignite. Applicants should be outgoing, and excellent team leadership/management skills.

Responsibilities include:
- Hiring and managing the Northeastern’s InnovateEDU team of 4-6 people to represent the university
- Attend workshops on Saturday with the team
- Act as a liaison between InnovateEDU and the Entrepreneurs Club
- Assist with preparation and logistics for Ignite event

InterACT
InterACT is a program that brings passionate students with professionals together in an intimate setting to learn about a variety of topics. These events take place twice a month. Applicants should be outgoing, and willing to facilitate and guide meaningful conversation.

Responsibilities:
- Seeking out speakers for the events
- Event logistics, scheduling, and execution
- Collaborating with the marketing team regarding marketing collateral needs
