We are looking to I’m establish a community owned building initially as a home for Brixton Hill Studios but with a view to including other projects, businesses and charities in the arts sector that need an affordable space to work without fear of being priced out of their local community or threatened by the continued development of our towns and cities.

Year on year the perceived value of commercial property seems to sky rocket and now it seems that continual rent rises are a given whether or not the commercial sector is thriving or if the people and business resident within these buildings are able to afford it.

Our initial aims for this project are as follows.

To raise capital to purchase a suitable building or plot for an accessible multi use arts space.
Put in place protective measures that keep the building for arts related uses in perpetuity.
To keep a controlled rent in place significantly lower than the current market rate.
To support and nurture creative talent irrespective of age, race, gender or background.
