What is your view on the induction programme

A short induction programme (2 weeks to one month) to familiarise the faculty/university will be enough

Explaining about the medicals, medals, dean’s list at the induction programme is not that effective

Student charter and university norms should be explained at the programme

It is betterer to educate the students on the English Terms related to agriculture during this programme

Better to familiarise the students with the student council program and mentoring program

Need to have a program to stress the importance of self-learning, use of library and online media for learning to break the spoon feeding mentality and tuition mentality

What is your view on the first semester?

It is better to have an option to select basic mathematics, physics, chemistry like subjects as some undergraduates may have already taken those subjects in their A/L examination

This semester should more focus on the basic agriculture related areas; plant, animal and soil

IT and English language teaching should remain as they are in the existing curriculum

It is better to provide the students with some extra time to be more exposed to faculty life and sports
