Product Design Phase Grant Application
Please use this application if you plan to apply for a Design Phase Grant. Please refer to Voi's website  and Voi's Grant Manual  for information on each of the different grants available to the Voi community. Project Description: Provide a high-level summary of your anticipated project idea that you are looking to further define, research and conceptualize by going through the process of building out a product blueprint (200-300 words)? This is the solution to the problem you have identified in the ecosystem.

Problem Statement: (Max 100 words) What problem do you seek to solve in the ecosystem? If your product is catered to a specific customer, who is your target customer and what are these customers top problems?  *
Problem Justification: (Max 300 words) Why do you believe this is a problem within the ecosystem or for your customer? If you have statistics, data, customer interviews or other observational information to support this justification please provide it.

Solution Alternatives: (Max 200 words) What are some possible alternative solutions to this problem that you have considered or already exist in the marketplace? Why do you believe them to be inadequate?  *
Target Customer: If you have a specific target customer feel free to describe their characteristics here. List the characteristics of your ideal target customer. 
Ecosystem/Market Analysis & Competitive Landscape: (Max 200 words) What do you estimate to be the demand for your solution and size of your market, even within the ecosystem? Do you have any existing competitors within the ecosystem? If so, who are they? *
Team's Competitive Advantage (Max 300 words) What is the team's unfair advantage that gives the team the unique ability to make this solution work? What unique skills, talent or experience do you or they have? 
Your Idea’s Competitive Advantage (Max 300 words) Describe your competitive advantage - what is your solution's unique value that makes you better than competitors?

Team Qualifications: (Max 200 words) Describe the team's combined qualifications and why you (or they if it is a third party) are suited for this project. If you have yet to identify the team that will be completing your product blueprint please use this space to outline what qualifications you are looking for in a team.

Challenges: (Max 150 words) Identify potential challenges you foresee in developing your product blueprint and/or launching this product in the future.

Time Commitment: (Max 100 words) Provide a provisional time commitment for the design phase, including estimated start and end dates.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION: Token Allocation Plan & Milestone Tracker: If you are requesting more than $10,000 USD worth of Voi you are required to provide a project milestone tracker with each of the milestones, and estimated completion dates to complete your product blue print.

Please MAKE A COPY and fill in the following token allocation plan and milestone tracker as part of your application. This same tracker will be used to request payouts in the future, if you successfully receive a grant so please spend time developing a quality output. 

When developing your milestones be sure you review what is expected out of the Product Blueprint, the final deliverable for the product design grant, so that this tracker can be adequately filled in.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION: Milestone Manager & Token Release Request: If you are requesting more than $10,000 USD worth of Voi you are required to fill in Section A of the following milestone manager and token release request. The spreadsheet is to be used to manage and record completion of your milestones listed in your milestone tracker. This tracker will also need to be filled in to request a payout for completing a milestone. It will be used by the Council to manage your project from start to finish. 

Please read the instructions in the spreadsheet. You are required to fill in Section A only at the time of application. The rest should be filled in only if you receive the grant and when you complete milestones.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION: Please put together a Pitch Deck for your application if you are requesting more than 10,000USD of Voi. Make a copy of the deck, fill it in, and record a pitch for submission and review to the Council. Feel free to edit the template to fit your needs. Please link your pitch deck here AND email a copy of it with your pitch presentation recording to voi.grants@voi.network along with your milestone tracker. *
