2025-2026 MS Delta Project Application

PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
The Mississippi Delta Project (MDP) is a Harvard Law School Student Practice Organization that provides opportunities for law students to connect with partner organizations and individuals working to advance community development in the Mississippi Delta region. 

MDP students work on teams to support on-the-ground partners on partner-driven projects with a law or policy nexus, providing students with experiential learning and partners with expanded capacity and resources to support their mission and priorities. Past projects have included legal research, white papers on partner-identified priority issues, policy scans, landscape scans and informational interviews, and development of tailored legal resources.

This year, students will work as a team to advance food justice, health justice, environmental justice and rural development in Mississippi through the lens of the MS food system. Our partners will include ACLU-MS, Congressman Bennie Thompson's office, AgLaunch and World Wildlife Fund, and Mississippi Center for Justice. There will be opportunities throughout the year for skills building workshops, partner interactions, and social events.
