To apply to be a speaker you must complete the below form by Friday March 25, 2016.

TEDxSavannah 2016 Theme: Challenging What Is - personal, local, universal.

Applications must be submitted before 11:59pm of the March 25th.

All speakers must be available for:
** an orientation meeting (May 4, 2016 at Thinc Savannah in Downtown Savannah)
** 2 speaker coaching sessions (May 21st and June 11th at Thinc Savannah in Downtown Savannah)
** rehearsal the day before (June 23rd at Jepson in Downtown Savannah)
** to attend the event (June 24th at Jepson in Downtown Savannah)

Are you willing to work with a speaker coach? We have found our speakers perform better when working with our coaches even if they consider themselves an experienced speaker. The speaking framework for TEDx is considerably different than other public speaking events. *

If you cannot make one of the required rehearsals in person, are you able to Skype or FaceTime with our coaches to accommodate that slot? *
Are you willing to devote 3-5 hours per week preparing for the TEDx talk? *

TEDx Speakers are not paid.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
