Hillel at Virginia Tech is pairing soon-to-be-graduates with incredible mentors who can help them explore next professional steps after college, process the craziness of this particular moment in time, and/or think through what Jewish opportunities exist after graduating.
One third of Virginia Tech's Jewish student population is from the greater DC area and the majority return after graduation. In helping to solidify a Jewish pipeline from Virginia Tech to post-college life back in the DC area, we are using mentorship as a model of relationship-building. There is no expectation that mentors and mentees talk primarily about Jewish things!
Time Commitment: We are asking mentors and mentees connect at least one time a month for 30-45 minutes - in person, virtually, or on the phone- from Fall 2024 until May 2025. There will be a virtual onboard call for all mentors in mid-October to set you up for success.
You'll receive regular reminders to connect with your mentor/mentee, tips for mentorship best practices, connection with the network of other mentors and mentees, and opportunities to engage with Hillel at Virginia Tech.
We will be matching mentors and mentees right after the High Holidays! Sign up now to secure your spot!
