A little about what an /r/Politics Moderator does and what is involved. We're pretty much a bunch of internet janitors who do this on a volunteer basis. One key aspect of volunteering is the ability to be an active and participating Moderator. This is not a slow subreddit as we have 8 million and growing subscribers and have endured a highly controversial General Election or two.

Being a Moderator on this subreddit will take up some of your time. We move as fast as the news cycle and the need for moderating is perpetual. Your time and efforts will be needed on an active level. Please take into consideration that the goal is to promote Civil Discussion on the articles about current US Politics and as they apply primarily the Sections of "Be Civil" and "On Topic".
