Quantitative Exploration of Psychotherapy and its potential effect on anxiety
I am a BSc student under the supervision of Dr. Christodouli Lagogianni at ICPS College for Humanistic Sciences. As part of my final project I am conducting research to explore the possible impact of psychotherapy on anxiety. Specifically, the present study aims to investigate if there are significant differences in anxiety levels of individuals who undergo psychotherapy or no psychotherapy at all. Additionally, this research focuses on exploring the possible relations among psychotherapy, emotional regulation, and demographic variables such as gender and age.
You have been asked to participate in this study because you are in the appropriate for the study age range (20-40). You will be provided with a form, via a google form link, that will provide information and instructions for your participation and will describe the aim and the purpose of the study thoroughly with an ethics form attached.
Any information that you give me will be treated in the strictest confidence and the only person who will be able to read your data will be myself, and my supervisor(s). You will not be assigned with your real name, but you will be asked to generate a unique code (a five-digit code e.g. 12345).  Moreover, please note that this study is anonymous and, as such, your name will not be included in any further analysis. Your participation in this research is voluntary and you are free to withdraw from the study at any time (including while the study is still going on and data are still being collected), in which case your data will be immediately deleted from our database. You have the right to withdraw from the study until the 15th day of February 2024. I will store any information on a password-protected personal computer while I will destroy any information given on a hardcopy in ten years from now (this is a standard period of time after which I will have to delete any data in line with University guidelines). In case some of the questions distressed you, you can call in a free of charge hotline ( Hotline for Psychosocial Support 10306).
