Helmets are a major contributor to safety and are required for the rodeo (Please see the helmetfitting guide at www.olivepta.com to ensure that your child has a properly fitting helmet).Children may ride their bikes to school on the day of the Bike Rodeo and any day after their successfulcompletion of the Bike Rodeo. Subsequent to the Bike Rodeo, students must continue to follow the schoolpolicy of walking bikes on school grounds and riding in a safe and responsible manner, or riding privilegeswill be taken away.
While we are happy to share safety and skill information with the children, it is ultimately the parents whoneed to ensure their children’s biking skills are adequate. Thanks to the efforts of our OMS PTA, we canencourage safe and responsible biking.
